Why retractable

Bifolds, French doors and stacker sliders exist for the view, and a fixed screen ruins it. A retractable screen folds away into a slim frame when you want the opening wide open, then pulls across in one smooth motion when the insects arrive. The glide system stays light even across big spans, and the low-profile bottom tray is seamless underfoot.

Pick your range

Pleated screens are the designer pick: a slim profile with sheer pleated mesh that folds invisibly into the frame. Cassette style screens roll into a compact housing and suit standard doors and windows. Heavy-duty screens are engineered for very large openings and hard daily use, including full patio enclosures and outdoor zip-track style screens for alfresco areas.

Which range do I need?
Pleated for style on living-area doors, cassette for standard doors and windows, heavy duty for very wide spans, patios and outdoor areas. We bring samples to the measure.
Will it handle a big bifold opening?
Yes, the heavy-duty range is engineered for large multi-panel openings, and double-sided screens meet in the middle for extra-wide spans.
Are they really Australian made?
Yes, Ultrascreen manufactures in Melbourne and Queensland, and has been family owned for three generations.
Do retractables keep pets in?
They are insect screens rather than pet barriers. For dog-proof screening, look at our pet-resistant fly screen doors or security doors with a pet door fitted.
